1 New Volunteer Desired at Birds Inc!


If you are looking for an opportunity to work with aviary birds and learn about the bird business, this is definitely the place for you. At Birds Inc... you will be exposed to everything required of the bird business, including but not limited to:


- Animal Husbandry

- Hand feeding

- Animal Auctions 

- Paperwork Management

- Media Management


We are currently looking for two new volunteers that could work 1-3 shifts per week. On top of all of the knowledge we can offer you about bird husbandry, we offer discounts to all of our volunteers for our merchandise, our livestock, as well as our sourced birds. If you are looking for a way to expand your knowledge of the bird industry and meet others with similar interests, please do not hesitate to contact us today!

My name is Katelyn Luoma and I have been volunteering for Birds Inc... since April 1st, 2015. I have loved all of the experiences I have had at Birds Inc... but my favorite so far has got to be attending the fall Innisfail Odd and Unusual auction. It was very interesting to see just how big the bird business is and understand what it is like in an auction ring. Personally, I had never been to an auction before, and I was a little nervous about it, but once we got there it was so much fun! Now I find myself already excited for the spring auction!
Other than the excitement of the auction, I have loved hand training the baby birds. It is basically a half an hour snuggle session with each baby. What could be better than that? It is so rewarding to see these babies grow and develop after all your hard work and being able to interact with them is just the icing on top! 
I would definitely recommend volunteering at Birds Inc... to anyone as these experiences will set them up for any career in animals they may want in the future!
